My only Son, Zanji, was too young then but he wanted to join us every time he sees us playing Chess or Word Factory. At his age he was very curious about everything he saw but even we teaches him how to play he still doesn't fit to play with it that time. It was very sad to see him begging us to let him join so that's why we think of something that we can play together with him. Something that's not only him will enjoy but the adults as well. We came up with our first board game, the most common one since younger days of ours, the Snake and Ladder. It was really fun to play with and a great help in learning also for Zanji to familiarized counting. But eventually, the kid got bored and looking for another one to play with. And then we ended up in Jenga.
Jenga is a stack game that uses dice to determine what color you are going to get and put above the block. You have to avoid the block from falling down. Once it fell and got destroyed, you'll loose !!!
We purchased this 48 colorful pieces Jenga at National Book Store at almost $7.5 ranging to 350php-380php. I actually forgot the exact price but it is less than 400php. There are lots of kind of Jenga but we chooses the coloured one since Zanji loves colors and can identify them at his age so we think it fits him the best. It can be played by everyone that made Zanji more happy because everyone in the family can play with him.
Playing Jenga with Zanji was very exciting and full of fun. It was quite a bit challenging and Zanji is a competitive one. He is very careful with getting blocks and putting it on the top. Slowly but surely! But even if how careful he is, he still sometimes loose and no one can avoid it :)
It was really fun playing Jenga. It is good for family bonding. Playing game is fun but it is more fun if Zanji can play with us also. Since I am not as creative as his Dad is in creating stuffs in Lego's, we can play other thing that I know he will surely enjoy too :) We have this Jenga for 2 years now and we still play it whenever the Kid wanted to.
Here's a short video clip of us (@bravekid, @bowiemagbag and me) having great time playing Jenga. Apologies for the video though. HAHAHA
He is so cute, smart and talented. Let's all play jenga together. Soon pls.

A colored jenga is indeed best for kids so they could practice with colors as well. We played jenga during our vacation trip last april and the adults are all giddy! It was a fun game. ❤
