Announcement: Clash Royale Steemit Tournaments

Clash Royale is a game developed and published by Supercell in 2016. It got a huge number of fans (hundreds of millions of downloads on iOS and Android devices) all over the world. I'm sure that we have quite a lot of Clash Royale players (like me) here on Steemit. That’s why I decided to manage some action. So now let me introduce you “Clash Royale Steemit Tournaments”!

Every Saturday evening (if I see enough interest from Steemit community) I will hold a Clash Royale tournament. I will create a clan and participants will join it to play head-to-head battles in best-of-three format (that means you need to win two games out of three to go to the next stage). A good chance for minnows to defeat some Steemit whales ;)

The first tournament will be conducted on 03.02.2018 20:00 UTC (21:00 CET). Below you can find some general information and rules for the Tournament.

Prize pool

The total prize pool will consist of 100% of all SBD payouts from “Clash Royale Steemit Tournament” posts for the following week (including this announcement post). There will be three places to share rewards:

1st place: 50% of the prize pool
2nd place: 35% of the prize pool
3rd place: 15% of the prize pool

General rules

1. If you would like to participate - write your Clash Royale in-game name in the comments;
2. The deadline for submitting an application for participation: 03.02.2018 00:00 UTC (01:00 CET);
3. Only users with 35+ reputation and 3 posts per week (in last two week) can participate;
4. The minimum number of participants for the Tournament to take place: 16 players
5. The maximum number of participants for the Tournament: 32 players
6. If there will be more than 32 players willing to participate - I’ll use some online random number generator to pick 32 players
7. You need to install Discord app - all communication before and during the Tournament will be held in our "Clash Royale Steemit Tournaments" group;
8. You have to upvote this post (that will increase the prize pool);
9. It is advised for players to be present ten minutes before the start of the Tournament on the Discord channel (will be created and published here and in other “Clash Royale Steemit Tournament” posts);

Tournament rules

1. “Friendly battle” game mode will be used for the Tournament (you will need to join special invite-only clan to participate). That means all players will have equal cards and towers level: The settings of in-game"friendly battles": King Tower Level: level 9, Common Cards: level 9, Rare Cards: level 7, Epic Cards: level 1, Legendary Cards: level 1, Overtime length: 3 minutes);
2. Players will have a maximum of 1 minute to prepare their first deck and then 2 minutes maximum for the second and third games;
3. If one player wins both of the first two games, the third game is not played;
4. In case of disconnection of one of the players the game continues. The winner has a choice to decide whether or not to replay the match;
5. In case of disconnection or technical problem for both players at the same time, a rematch is then set up;
6. In case of a draw at the end of a game - the player who loses the least life points on all his cumulative towers wins the game. In case of perfect equality, the game must be replayed with the same decks used.
