Freeware Games an Overview
There is no such thing as a free lunch. That was the saying most people grew up
hearing and believing in and in most cases it is very true. However, that saying is
not always true in the gaming world. There are hundreds of websites that list mil-
lions of games that are given away free of charge. Why is this the reader might be
asking him or herself. The answer varies depending on the game. For our example
Robocop 2D, the answer to why this game is free is because the game is a remake
of the 1980’s Robocop arcade game. A remake it is based on someone else’s intel-
lectual property, and therefore no profit can be made. STEP ONE: Please download WinZip by following the directions on page nine
"Tools That must be in Your Box" and follow the directions for downloading
WinZip before moving on.
STEP TWO: Type defeat your friend into the address bar. The website home-
page is pictured below.

STEP THREE: Double click “Action” on the menu on the left side. A screenshot is
pictured below this text.

STEP FOUR: Scroll down to the bottom of the page and double click the number
four. A screen comes up that looks like the picture seen below this text.

STEP FIVE: On the page scroll down till you see the game “Robocop 2D”. A picture
of the box you will need to double click on is pictured below this text. STEP SIX: Double click on the picture to be taken to a review of the game. The
screenshot is pictured below.

STEP SEVEN: Double click on the website link to be taken to the game’s webpage.

STEP EIGHT: double click “Download” A box comes up choose “save as” save to
the desktop. You should have a zip file that looks like the icon pictured below this
text.

STEP NINE: Double click on the WinZip file, the next screen to come up should
look like the one pictured on the top of the next page. STEP TEN: Double click "Use Evaluation Version". The following screen pictured at
the top of the next page will come up on your computer.

STEP ELEVEN: Double click “Next”; the screen that comes up is pictured below
this text. STEP TWELVE: Leave everything as it appears on the screen and click “Next”
STEP THIRTEEN: On the screen that comes up click “Unzip Now”

The file will unzip, and you will be looking at a screen that looks like the one pic-
tured at the top of the next page. STEP FOURTEEN: From the menu bar click “Edit” a menu comes down click “se-
lect all”.
STEP FIFTEEN: Click "Edit" again from the menu and choose “copy”.
STEP SIXTEEN: Click the right mouse button anywhere on the desktop, a menu will
come down then click paste
STEP SEVENTEEN: Double click the "Robocop 2D" folder.

The contents of the folder should look like the items in the picture at the top of the
next page.

STEP EIGHTEEN: Double click on the Robocop game file pictured, the game will
either start automatically or a message will come up asking if you want to run the
program or cancel. Click “Run” and enjoy.
