Neuronball is a free futuristic sport manager game where thousands of players compete in a worldwide championship. Create your team of robots and challenge other players!
The quote above is from the front page of this game. I didn't know about it until yesterday when a follower on Twitter sent me a link. Now I can tell you that i can be addictive.
What Is Neuronball?
In short, a kind of a soccer game where you are a team manager of robotic marbles. Like with every team management game you build your players, level up, add boosters and whatnot. You can hire supporters, build facilities, ..., lots of things.
The Match
The match itself is five minutes long with five players on the field. You don't control them during the match. Before the match you do your best to power up and set up them in a way that you think is the best.
Screenshots
Let these screenshots speak for the game:
That's how I field my neurons. I am the one in yellow and orange. The opponent's approach might be better, though.

The Results
Your opponents are most of the time roughly at the same level as you are. Only once I got an opponent who was way over my league. It ended with a 0 to 40 loss. Ugly.
I lost this match big time.
At one match my opponent fielded players who were very low on energy. This match was even uglier. I won with 16 to 1. Look at these poor bastards:
Some Details
You can play for free, no restrictions there. You can also buy some addons.
Established players can be bought on the market.
You get boosters, points and credits after the match. Even if you loose.
Top 100?
Recently somebody posted a challenge - can anybody get into first 100 rankings at some established online game. Alas I don't remember who this was and I can't find the post. Can you help me out finding the post? Thanks!
I don't know if you can call Neuronball an established game. I even don't know if I should try. But I can tell you one thing:
My team - Lemark Swans - is currently ranked No. 1476 in the world. I don't know how many active players are there but my user profile number is 93023. So, there must be a decent number of people hanging out here.
It Is Addictive!
I warned you :)
Anyways, fancy a match of Neuronball?
Better and better!
