The Nintendo Switch emulator Yuzu drives Sonic 3 ... with 1fps

in games •  7 years ago

Earlier this month, we learned that the new emulator for the new Nintendo Switch is already known as Yuzu and the talented team of hackers 3DS Emulator City.

Now the emulator is also pushing its first game - with all the conditionality of this statement.

Of course, it's not an original Switch game, it's Genesis platformer Sonic 3. This is quite interesting - there is another emulator installed on the emulator (Retroarch) game.

Technically speaking, the achievement resembles the Hollywood thriller Inception, although Sonic 3 is only <1 shot/second>. It is obvious that there is still a long way before Yuzu becomes a complete emulator.

Retroarch itself is available directly for Switch as long as you have a 3.0.0 firmware console and a PegaSwitch exploit. Currently, the emulator also supports NES, NES and Jaguar titles.
