Calling Gamers on STEEMIT!
Alpha Release Ahead, We Need Your Opinion at FirstBlood.io.

Hi Steemians,

It's @jasonmcz here again! For those of who aren't familiar with me or missed my previous post about the eSports DAPP I am currently working on, you can learn more by going here. After successfully tested our first match (a dice-based game) using smart contract/oracles last weekend, we are happy to announce that FirstBlood Fans will be able to access our closed alpha in coming weeks!

Who we are?

FirstBlood.io is an eSports gaming/competition platform that will allow individuals to test their skill and compete in 1v1 and team vs team matches for popular online games, such as League of Legends, Dota 2, and Counter-Strike: Global Offensive. Made possible by smart contracts and oracles in the blockchain.

The TL;DR version:  you can now earn reward by playing your favorite game

Why would gamers care?

If you are hardcore gamer and you are pretty damn confident that you can beat 95% of people out there! Then this will be the opportunity for you to compete for yourself and make living out of it. Just like how people can spot and reward original contents on Steemit, now on Firstblood, you can get rewarded by compete and win matches.

But...

What's in the Alpha?

[1 Playable Game]  +  [1 Match Mode]

In alpha users will be able to test out the system playing 1 game with a single mode.
Functionalities will include:

1. viewing all available matches
2. join a custom match players created
3. viewing past matches
4. smart contract escrow service
5. automatic game result verification
6. automatic reward payout after game completes
7. a beautiful GUI we designed :D

What now? Vote for Games!

Since we started this project (@zackcoburn @jasonmcz), countless individuals from all over the world have come forward to translate, market, and even code, asking nothing in return except that we build a successful platform. We are blown away by this support and would love for our community to play a roll in FirstBlood’s continued development.

This is why we have created a poll for all of you to select the first major eSports title that FirstBlood will support. The choices are:

  • League of Legends
  • CS:GO
  • Dota 2
  • Hearthstone

Think we are cool? Wanna get involved?

Currently we are building a community of DAPP enthusiasts, early adopters and hardcore gamers around our project so we can set a base to grow ourselves into a popular decentralized project, and eventually go to mainstream (opening to all gamers across the globe)!

You can get involved by joining our slack channel
we are pretty active there and you will get chance to compete in the battlefield before everyone else in alpha!

I think this should read Dota 2

@klye changed ! ;d thanks for spotting that out!

The superior MOBA obviously. Dota.

CS:GO OBVIOUSLY!

I guess league would be cool too though...

league isn't tough! I made this one for their API challenge before:

I haven't found time to play videogames ever since I found crypto currencies :P Steemit makes it almost impossible lolol

Any Rocket League love i here?

@zackcoburn plays rocket league!

Like a Counter-strike

Very good post. Good to see I'm not the only one who thinks like this. The future is in blockchain. The issues is that people don't seem to care about the Trustworthiness of the current cryptos. This also happened in the internet boom. An interesting website I found: https://www.coincheckup.com. The best crypto analysis site by far. Complete in depth investment analysis.

CS:GO FTW!

Cool that someone is doing this. I am a game developer. I doubt I'll ever make something eSports worthy (never know what gamers might do) as that is not what I target. I do think if we get steem block chain activity embedded in some games that could be a pretty cool thing.

@dwinblood Are you on slack? Would love to get some feedback from you!

I am on a private slack with some friends but yes I have a slack account so should be invitable. I am dwinblood on slack as well.

Dota 2 Please ! ;)

Wow, that was quick! An eSports DAPP on Steemit? Perfect. I haven't played Dota 2 in a while, but I might just go back to it now! I'm not on Slack unfortunately but will follow on YouTube.

Keep it up! Hope to check it out soon.

Interesting post. I was about to start a similair discussion. You read this stories about people selling their cars to buy cryptos and I think to myself, the basic rule of investment is: Only invest money you're willing to loose I found this great website: https://www.coincheckup.com They give great insights in the team, the product, advisors, community, the business and the business model and other techincal insights. See: https://www.coincheckup.com/coins/FirstBlood#analysis To check FirstBlood Indepth analysis

Could be huge my friend, looks great!
