Far Cry 5

May be wrong here, but Ubisoft seems to be having a whole lot of fun in poking fun (no pun intended) at American stuff in its promotion of the upcoming open-world FPS Far Cry 5. After turning the Bill of Rights into something barely recognizable, today is the turn of the classic patriotic song “My Country ‘Tis Of Thee.”

While the song is unchanged, the way it’s associated with images from the game certainly conveys an interesting picture and the jolly folks at the French publisher stopped just short of adding “Merica! Fu*k yeah!” cheers at the end.

You can check it out, and see if it makes you feel more patriotic. If you want to see more, you can enjoy another trailer focusing on the dog Boomer, a live-action trailer, and a third showcasing the season pass.

Far Cry 5 will release for PS4, Xbox One, and PC on March 27th. If you are unfamiliar with the game, you can check out our recent preview.
