Rainbow Six Siege yesterday released a brand new patch for the PS4 and Xbox One having previously released on PC earlier in the week.
Describing the changes, developers for the game said:
“The first patch after the season launches is generally a much lighter patch. As such, you will not see the same level of fixes as a Season launch."
Needless to say though, it's worth having a read through the patch notes (further down) for some insight into some of the key changes which will no doubt have had some impact on the game's meta.
That being said, most R6 players are probably more interested by news of some new Italian operators who were leaked earlier this week on Reddit.
For now, there's been no official acknowledgement from Ubisoft and with the images clearly stating that the character names are 'placeholders' it's possible there could be some revisions in store.
However, we do get a look at the new operators, who, according to PC Gamer, "wear the insignia of GIS - Gruppo di Intervento Speciale - the airborne counter-terrorism unit of Italy's Carabinieri military police force."
PC Gamer also argues that the two most recent additions to the game, Lion and Finka, were both attackers, so it's likely these next two will be defenders to help balance out the game.
