The only possible future for cryptocurrencies probably passes by their adoption by the general public, and each step in this direction is therefore a very good sign.
Among the most popular mobile games, there is a videogame adaptation of the equally popular and internationally known series: The Simpsons.
This mobile game, called The Simpson: Tapped Out, is here to talk about him because in a new quest of the game, entitled Crypto Cool, the player will hear about cryptocurrency.
Indeed, the player, here embodied by Homer, has (yet!) Neglected his work at the nuclear power station in Springfield (by dint of playing mobile games on his mobile!). He must first speak to the character of Martin, who mentions many times the words Bitcoin and Blockchain, without explaining what he is talking about.
At one point in the dialogue, he ends up saying, "I mined Bitcoin with my computer, then its value exploded."
After completing this first part of the quest with Martin, the player must then see three other characters to make them mine Bitcoin.
As an article in CCN said, allusions to the best-known cryptocurrency had already been made in episodes of the famous animated series, with Krusty the clown who explained that he found himself broke because he had "even more bad luck" than in the Bitcoin market, "while in another episode Jimbo - the school bully -" accepted Bitcoins "according to his sign.
After the Simpson, it is the Marvel superheroes who mention the cryptocurrency in the comic entitled "Hunt for Wolverine - Adamantium Agenda N ° 1".
Indeed, during a dialogue, multi-billionaire Tony Stark - Iron Man - must make very sensitive transactions and, given their nature, he must use cryptocurrencies.
And although the other character evokes the "risky" reputation of cryptos, Tony Stark has a hilarious and very sarcastic answer (given the very perilous situation in which the heroes seem to be). It can be seen in the extract of the Comics visible on news.bitcoin.com and below:
But it is not only Bitcoin that is gaining popularity, we also wrote an article on the mention of Ethereum in the US series Silicon Valley.
The fact that Bitcoin, blockchains and cryptos are more and more mentioned in media read and watched by the general public, will certainly help their mass adoption. So let's see their name mentioned in many other series, comics and movies ...
It's great to see that Bitcoin is getting media coverage in popular TV series, movies and games, and I agree that this is very good news for mass adaptation. Silicon Valley took it way further than just mentioning Ethereum; one of the big plotlines this season is the fact that they created an ICO instead of getting regular funding, and they also did a real airdrop to promote the show.
