No Man's Sky delayed again?

No Man's Sky and my love of procedural environments in gaming

No Man's Sky cover

I can't describe how much I am anticipating this game. I fell in love with procedurally generated environments when I first played "Frontier: First Encounters" (sequel to the Elite series) and was in complete awe about the incredible vastness of the universe. You could literally visit the entire galaxy and land on every planet. Who cares about bad graphics when you can go anywhere? Heck, Elite was released in the 80s making it an even more amazing piece of brilliant software engineering!

Anyway, I continued to look for similar games and got into Evochron: Mercenary, another procedurally generated piece of awesomeness also with seamless planetary landings and a mind bogglingly huge universe to traverse. This time even with good graphics! The hype didn't last long though because the game doesn't offer much more than that.

So since 2014 I've been waiting now for No Man's Sky to be released only to read today about another delay. Anyone else bummed big time?

I need an 8 bit substitution drug to numb the pain: Norman's Sky will suffice!
