This 2013 game is actually a reboot of a first-person shooter from 1997. Much like the 2016 re-imagining of Doom, the new Shadow Warrior captures the essence of its old school forbear while bringing it into the modern day with updated graphics and gameplay features.
Playing as killer-for-hire Lo Wang, you find yourself on a quest to restore a mystical sword, fighting through demons in unearthly realms and using supernatural powers. The game doesn't take itself too seriously, with a streak of humour amidst all of the carnage.
