Hi Everyone!

Sims 4 is a game I really love to play so I don't want you to go through the same mistakes I did when starting out.

This video is how I found the best way to make a Sim in the game Sims 4.

You can log on, take a premade sim and just play them. By doing that I have found I never get very far playing them. I have nothing invested in who they are so they become very boring after only a few minutes. I then shut off my computer or play another game.

I Hate those kinds of days!! Let's fix that! Having some general idea of what kind of Sim to play helps make your Sim a ton more enjoyable in the end.

Before you start making your Sim have some idea in mind of how you want them to look. Sounds easy, but when looking at all the options to pick from I have found it better to ask myself a few questions.

Are you making a guy or girl?

Is your Sim going to be a bad person, good person, painter, or rule the world?

Are they going to the dark side and becoming a vampire, an alien, a cat or a dog?

How many Sims are you going to have in your family to start?

Married? Dating? Planning on a bunch of children then killing the Dad off? Okay, that last one might be going a bit far but then again...I have heard rumors!

Having just one Sim sounds like it would be the easiest way to go but then they get lonely very fast.

Again, just general ideas help you with the place to start on a blank Sim.

Once you have a general idea of what kind of Sim you are going to make usually you will get a picture in your head of what you think that Sim might look like.

Examples would be if you were making a mean Sim, one that was going to be a criminal most people have an idea what that person would look like. Al Capone, Jimmy the Greek or Mata Hari just off the top of my head and yes, I just showed my age! LOL

Do you have to ask yourself all these questions just to make a Sim and play the game? Nope! You can log on and take a premade sim or go to the gallery and download a Sim you like the look of.

Another way you can approach making a Sim is to have a friend or foe in mind when making one.

In this video, I made a Sim look like @globocop. Now I have no idea what @globocop really looks like but he helped @simgirl and I yesterday set up my OBS correctly so we could do our radio show Sim Your Life on MPSWaves Radio.

During the show, he typed in the chat, "Sim my Cat".

Little did he know I needed to relax today and Sims 4 for me is just that! I followed my own rules above and made Cop Waves and his trusty cat Globo!

I truly think it is so much more fun to have something or someone in mind when you make your own Sim and then go on to play the game.

I learn by seeing better than reading how a thing is done. Why I made the video for everyone to watch if you are like me in that regard.
