Creating a cartoon violence game played by over 4 million people and watched by over 50 million on youtube wasn't so hard to do when thinking back to the time our lovely german shepherd dog clashed with a bald, chubby, angry neighbour.
It wasn't our intention to create a super stupid super bloody game about killing you neighbour as our first. But after me and my twin brother moved into a new nosy neighbourhood rife with curtain twitching lawn patrolling gremlins in North England we realised that it was going to be anything but a normal life sleepy street.
We had moved with our beloved real life German Shepherd dog Whisky who our new neighbour took an instant disliking too.
Before that though we were delightfully surprised that my twins work colleague had welcomed us with open arms in looking at renting his detached house in a nice green suburb, even though we were bringing a huge blond German Shepherd dog (named Whisky) with us.
It turns out our new landlord didn't get along with the neighbour next door and had moved out a while back. We were later to discover the reason why, our new neighbour was one from the depths of hell itself. The landlord knew the neighbour from hell hated dogs so what better opportunity for him than to get two new tenants with a big fluffy 50kg german shepherd!
Throughout our time in living there, the neighbour in question would look to provoke our dog in the garden by any means necessary into snapping at him in order to try and take a manipulative photographs as evidence that he was being aggressive. He obviously wanted to report him to a local authority. His family weren't much better either, common mouthed, swearing, loud and arrogant leading to a big confrontation that would have gone down a treat as one of those trash tv fly on the wall documentary.
Our dog whisky could sense how evil the neighbour was, so he would purposely strutt down to the bottom of the garden and take a big crap right in front of the neighbours garden window view, I wouldn't say to spite him but rather to give him two fingers that he simply didn't care!
When the opportunity arose to create a game mimicked on violent cartoons like Happy Tree Friends and previous games like Whack Your Boss I didn't hesitate to plug my neighbour from hell into a twisted new fantasy environment that makes Black Mirror's 'White Christmas' episode or Dexter's collection of serial killing rituals look like a care bear picnic!
What followed was a bloody carnage played and enjoyed by over 4 million blood worshippers and watched by over 50 million people on Youtube!
Following you!
