At 14:17 mins, the 2nd wave of blue enemies came.

At 30:11 mins, my troops set foot on the other side of land by boat for the first time and encountered enemy troops. I tried to take Miankou, the enemy’s city but its troops were numerous and I retreated back with my pikeman.

At 1:08:14 mins, my troops set foot on Jiangxia and mission accomplished! Below is the prologue, dialogue, and missions. Signing off! Sejuk!

Prologue

After he took up the unfinished task left to him by his late father and elder brother, Sun Quan brought into his government scholars of merit and established a guesthouse to receive worthy guests from all regions. These men received generous and courteous treatment and Wu gained the reputation as a land that fostered talent.

In the seventh year of the Jian An reign era (202 AD), Cao Cao having defeated Yuan Shao, ordered his representative to Wu to require that Sun Quan send one of his sons to the Capital to serve the Emperor. However, Sun Quan, after much deliberation, rebuffed this demand as it was seen as an effort by Cao Cao to exercise control over Wu.

Zhou Yu recommended Lu Su in Lin Huai to assist Sun Quan. Sun Quan asked Lu Su how to deal with the business of being the ruler of Wu. In Lu Su’s view, the Han was beyond hope of recovery and Cao Cao was too powerful to be eliminated. Therefore, it was critical for Sun Quan to make Wu the firm leg of the tripod, secure and consolidate his region, and look for opportunities to expand his power in the future.

Sun Quan could take advantage of the turmoil in the North to attack Huang Zu in Jiangxia, Liu Biao in Jingzhou, and command the whole length of the Great River. Then Sun Quan could title himself Emperor or King and turn his attention towards the rest of the country.

In the eleventh month of the eighth year of the Jian An reign era (203 AD), Sun Quan attacked Huang Zu. Sun Quan was driven by a burning determination to defeat and kill Huang Zu because Huang Zu had killed his father, Sun Jian. They fought on the Great River and Huang Zu’s forces were smashed. But Sun Quan’s commander, Ling Cao, was shot down at Xiakou by Gan Ning, Huang Zu’s commander. Seeing that the situation was not favorable, Sun Quan ordered his forces to return to Wu.

In the winter of the twelfth year of the Jian An reign era (207 AD), Gan Ning left Huang Zu and surrendered to Sun Quan. Gan Ning was a scholarly man but at the same time quite vigorous. In his early years, he led a band of desperadoes who were active in all the lakes and rivers in the region. He later regretted his past conduct, reformed and offered his service to Liu Biao. Gan Ning advised Sun Quan to attack Huang Zu and Liu Biao and then aim for the whole of the Riverlands. In this way, Sun Quan’s hegemony could be achieved. Sun Quan then mobilized more than one hundred thousand troops to attack Jiangxia and killed Huang Zu.

Dialogue

Gan Ning: I heard you are thirsty for talent and do not bear grudges, wise General. Today I come to serve you though I have committed crimes against you. I have decided to redeem myself by fighting in your name. I hope you will accept my offer!

Sun Quan: Your approach gives us immense pleasure. There will be no ill feeling towards you because of the past. We trust you will set your mind at ease on this. We only wish to know whether you have any ideas as to how we may destroy Huang Zu.

Gan Ning: Now Zu is old. He has become greedy for material things and exploits his subordinates and common folk. This results in the people’s unrest, the deterioration of weapons through lack of repair and army’s poor discipline. Wise master, if you send troops there, Zu’s forces will be annihilated in days. Then you can advance westward and take Chuguan. Ultimately, you will be able to conquer Ba and Shu. Your great undertaking can then be accomplished.

Sun Quan: Excellent! You assist me greatly.
