Welcome back, readers! This was an easy mission as I was required to conquer the only city, Yiling. No enemy troops had come to attack my city allowing me to quicken the pace of recruiting troops and other administrative tasks.
In only 25:47 mins, my troops had set foot on another island believing to be in enemy territory. I quickly took out troops led by Zhang Bao and Fu Tong and attacked the county towns. At the same time, I discovered Yiling and my troops retreated to recharge their health and strength.
At 31:58 mins, my troops descended upon the same island to attack Yiling! Signing off! Sejuk! Below is the prologue, dialogue, and mission.
Prologue
Wu had sent troops disguised as merchants in white gowns across the river to attack Jingzhou by surprise and had killed Lord Guan. In the following year, Cao Cao died of a stroke. His son, Cao Pi, inherited his patrimony and was acclaimed King of Wei and Prime Minister. Shortly thereafter Cao Pi deposed the Emperor Xian and acclaimed himself Emperor of the Great Wei. In the following year, Liu Bei proclaimed himself Emperor of Chengdu.
When the news of Lord Guan’s death reached Chengdu, Liu Bei intended to attack the Kingdom of Wu in revenge, but he was dissuaded by Kongming. However, Zhang Fei was so eager to avenge Lord Guan that he was killed by his own men having got drunk and having tyrannized his subordinates in preparation for attacking the Kingdom of Wu. The killers then fled to Wu. On hearing of this, Liu Bei personally led his army in an invasion of the Kingdom of Wu to avenge his two sworn brothers despite opposition from his civil and military officials.
In fear of Shu’s power, the Kingdom of Wu declared submission to Cao Pi, the Emperor of Wei, to seek aid. Sun Quan then was honored by Cao Pi as King of Wu and he received the Nine Honors. However, the Kingdom of Wei wanted to seize the opportunity to annihilate the Kingdom of Wu and so it sent no aid. Then Wu had to dispatch troops to withstand Shu’s army with Lu Xun as the Great Commander-In-Chief.
Liu Bei’s heart was burned so badly by his need for revenge that he violated a number of basic military principles, whilst ignoring his advisers. At a strategic place, Liu Bei set up a huge line of camps. Lu Xun avoided engaging Liu Bei when he was at the peak of his fighting spirits and fire attacked Shu’s army by surprise when it slackened its defenses. Shu’s huge line of camps was burned and Liu Bei suffered a massive defeat. Liu Bei then fled to Baidi (which means "White Emperor”).
Dialogue
Lu Xun: Liu Bei is a very ambitious man and he is skillful in strategy. In the beginning, his newly assembled troops were in high fighting spirit and their strategy was excellent. But now they have camped outside our city for a long time without achieving anything. The troops are getting tired and cracks appear in their defense.
Today I have had a good look at them and everything is clear. It is time to destroy them. Summon up all your courage to take the lead. Generals, capture Liu Bei!!!
