Today we will be focusing on one genre of game that is on the rise right now. Battle royal games. This games let you feel what Katniss Everdeen is doing on those Hunger games films. And that is to survive among other players in the game. All of these games have the same format, Drop off in an abandoned island, get what items you see, kill and hunt other players, survive till the end and win.

We will now differentiate 3 of the most know battle royal games namely PUBG, ROS and Fortnite. Although there are more battle royal games out there, I will just differentiate these 3 since these are the most played games of its kind as of the moment. May this blog also serve as a guide for those people who wants to play games in this kind of genre but are not yet decided on what game to play. Let the battles begin!!!

PlayersUnknown Battlergrounds (PUBG)

PUBG is one of the biggest battle royal game as of the moment. It was widely patronized by players, breaking records on Steam through its sales when it was released way back march 2017. compared to its other competitors PUBG has a more realistic sense to it. Player design is much more human-like than the other two. Bullet physics is also a lot more realistic than its competitors. Environment wise also realistic. Excellent game overall

The only downside of PUBG is its vehicle physics and the community. Vehicle physics, man PUBG sucks big time on this. a UAZ or a military jeep can be steered soooooo easily that one can be easily out of control of with just a little veer to the left or right. Also currently their tricycle is severely bugged. you can just simply fly above the air and explode once u land without any reason. Also it is so hard to navigate this kind of vehicle. The community is also a negative factor in this game. in spite of bluehole (Their developer) striving to remove cheaters in the game, these people still strive to cheat for whatever reason we don't know. The worst thing about these cheaters are they will steal your win or sometimes you will just be killed by a random guy miles away where you cant even hear their gunshot and that is FRUSTRATING AS HELL!!!

Overall PUBG is an excellent game and just needs to work on their anti cheat system and everything will be fine. I will be rating PUBG 8/10

Fortnite

Fortnite is a more animated version of your favorite battle royal game. Its edge with its competitors is its customization. you can customize your player in many different ways. You can also customize your player in PUBG and ROS but Fortnite gives you way more options . Also the one thing that sets this game aside is its Building mechanics. in this game you can build walls and even buildings or fortresses. Just imagine this as Minecraft and battle royal combined.

Fortnite has only one downside that I can think of and that is its difficulty. If you are the kind of gamer who always looks for challenge (like me :D) then this game is not for you to play. Bullet physics is easy, just a simple point and shoot would do most of the the time. The building part maybe hard at first but when you get the jist of it you can build walls and building in just a matter of seconds.

Overall fortnite is an excellent game but I would give it an 8/10 due to its difficulty.

Rules of Survival (ROS)

Rules of Survival is also a game that comes to mind when we talk about this genre. Although it wont boast much when it comes to graphics, performance and originality, the factor that made it to the top 3 is its accessibility. You see when you want to play Fortnite or PUBG you need a mid-tier to high-end types of PC. With ROS even a low end PC could run it. Also its mobile version is not that heavy to play making more players attracted to it.

Compared to the two though this has more downsides to it. Graphics are somewhat okay, Bullet physics is so simple that you can shoot a person directly without worrying about the bullet drop from miles away and its gameplay has no unique feature on it. But what takes the cake is its community, specifically the cheaters. Man, cheaters in this game are everywhere. Since its coding and formatting is simpler than PUBG or Fortnite, It's more easy to cheat in this game. You can even see cheaters killing other cheaters and another cheater killing the cheaters who killed those cheaters. got it? that's how worse cheating is in this game. Sadly if the developers wont do an action on this the game might just eventually die

I will be rating ROS a 5/10 due to lack of uniqueness and its widespread cheating.
