The Viking strategy game for tabletop fans, Wartile, left Early Access on Steam on February 8th.
The full version gets more story elements, reputational points for the heroes, more unique weapons and magical items, and refinements to the interface.
As the developers announced in a blog post on Steam, they want more in the future for the franchise:
"Hopefully this is just the beginning of something bigger: we'd like to see extensions of the Wartile Universe, with new fantastic stories, themes, and realms."
In Wartile, Vikings fight against the British in the fantasy setting on small square maps that are based on tabletop dioramas. The cards are also divided into hexagons and the figures stand on small pedestals to crown the Games Workshop feeling.
In real-time combat, the player shows his strategic skill and can perform special actions using special cards. He achieves those by collecting experience points and completing tasks.
To celebrate the full release, developers Playwood Project and Publisher Deck 13 are offering a 25 percent discount on the purchase of Wartile on Steam by February 15.
