Deoxys lands on earth!

_{Deoxys coming to an EX Raid near you soon!}

When Niantic announced Mewtwo would be available as a Raid Boss from September 20 through October 23 I already suspected Mewtwo might be leaving EX Raids now. Especially since he's been available from them for about a year now. With Deoxys replacing it as an EX Raid boss since it's the only Mythical currently possible of being an EX Raid boss. Then this pop-up showed up today saying "The Mythical Pokémon Deoxys Transforms EX Raids!". So there is the confirmation of what I thought!

Deoxys was first discovered in the Hoenn region and is known as the DNA Pokémon. It's a Psychic-type Pokémon just like Mewtwo. Deoxys has 4 different Formes, Normal Forme, Attack Forme, Defense Forme and Speed Forme. With the next cycle of EX Raids invitations the Normal Forme will be available in EX Raids. We'll have to see when and how often it will cycle through these different Formes.

It will be easier to find out which Gyms are EX Raid Gyms. A tag will show up in the Gym details that'll display it's an EX Raid Gym. This will likely go live by the time the next round of EX Raids invites is sent.

Invite a friend! With Deoxys entering the EX Raids the friends feature will get a little extra. You will now be able to invite 1 Ultra friend or Best friend to an EX Raid that you received an EX Raid Pass for. So if one of your friends doesn't get to participate in Raids as often, this is a nice way to give them the chance to participate in the same EX Raid if you've been invited to it. So keep playing together with your friends to become Ultra friends or Best friends with them if you haven't already!
