Meltan announced through Pokémon GO
After the Chikorita Community Day was over all these super tiny strange Pokémon started spawning. I'm pretty sure you've seen them too. The friend I was still walking around with at the end and I had no idea what they were. But we spent another 20-30 minutes catching many of those we came across. Until they started disappearing from the nearby list. After that we barely found any of them anymore.
Here they are. It was so weird to see them. We had no idea what they were xD So I started calling them Dingdings and this friend had to laugh with the name. This friend was so confused at the name I was using, but then started using it too. So we kept on calling them Dingdings the whole time. Most of these transferred into a Ditto after catching them. For me one of them was a Chikorita and for that friend like 3 of them were Chikorita.
During the week one of them spawned at a Gym after we finished a Raid. And I've seen them a few times on the nearby list since then too.
Today Niantic made a post about these appearances. Ditto all over the world have been transforming into this Pokémon. It has now been identified as the Mythical Pokémon Meltan! Professor Willow has already contacted Professor Oak in the Kanto region. The two have been cooperating in their investigation of Meltan! It's going to be available in Pokémon Let's GO Pikachu and Eevee!
Maybe this will be the gift for Pokémon GO that people get from buying the game?
So the mystery about these has finally been revealed!
