First Deoxys EX-Raid

Yesterday were the first Deoxys EX-Raids in my city. The EX-Raid passes for these had been distributed sometime last week. I did not get one then. For one of the Gyms that's definitely understandable as I had not done a Raid there for weeks. On the Wood Tree Sculpture one I did do a few Raids recently, but not enough for a good chance to get an EX-Raid invite I suppose.

After the EX-Raid invites were sent the Gym still received Raids on it. Which is strange as that didn't happen in the past with Mewtwo in the EX-Raids. Once invites were distributed no Raids appeared in the Gym until after the EX-Raid. So I did like two more Raids there the past days to see if it would perhaps give an invite, but I think those Raids just count towards the next time an EX-Raid pass distribution occurs.

My brother received an EX-Raid Pass for the Wood Tree Sculpture Gym though. Since you can now share your EX-Raid Pass with an Ultra or Best friend he invited me with it. Which looks like this. You can also decline it if you can't attend. He told me that, upon sending me the invite, it told him that if I decline he can't invite someone else. That's kinda too bad, so always make sure you invite someone who is most likely to be able to attend!

I arrived at the EX-Raid a few minutes prior to the start and greeted everyone who was there. We had to split in 3 groups as we were with too many people. Well we may have been able to go in 2 groups actually. But we usually go by team. So Instict made a private group while Mystic and Valor went in a public group together. And we were apparently with 2 too many, so a small group left the public one, leaving them with like 14 so that we could go with a group of 8. Which was more than good enough. As we still had about 200 seconds left with out group of 8 when we beat Deoxys.

Here we have it, my first attempt to catch a Deoxys. After the fight we checked with each other how much CP our Deoxys had. My brother had one around 1560 and several others had some in the 1540-1560 range. So it seemed like I had one with really low CP. I managed to catch it though, which is the most important thing! As I have it registered in my Pokédex now! :D There's always next time to have a shot at a better IV Deoxys!
