Totodile Community Day Rainy Edition

The Community Day started out really nice as one of the first Totodile I encountered was a Shiny one already! Before I even came across any of the people that I often see walking around too during these Community Days. Although I did see someone in the distance, but he was catching some a bit further away so I couldn't talk to him yet.

After I caught this Totodile I checked the appraise right away. Then I continued catching the Totodile that had spawned around me as there were quite a bunch. Especially with the Lure active there too. Once I caught those I saw some of the people I often see. As they had walked around on the other side of a building and were now there too. So I started talking to them and then go around with them.

At that time it started to rain a little bit. So I must've jinxed it saying I was hoping it wouldn't rain on the Community Day and on the Feebas event! :( I was able to take the first picture of the Shiny Totodile with AR before it staretd to train. We still continued walking to the market square with that bit of rain as it wasn't much. There we were greeted by at least 7 Totodile! I caught them all there and some new ones spawned too, especially with a Lure there. I recognised the name of the person who activated that Lure, but didn't see come across him yet during the event.

Some people decided to slowly head home cause they still had to go somewhere. Two others were gonna go sit inside somewhere to drink a coffee. A friend and I decided to go back to where we came from with two of the people who were gonna head that way to go home. Then as we were walking back we came across the person who activate the Lure on the market square. We talked with him for a bit and then he joined us in walking around.

We were often walking around near the city hall and the playground with the Houten Schip Gym. Then we'd sometimes go back to the market square too. Apart from those two locations we didn't really venture further, just back and forth between them and a bit around the two areas too. At one point we were back near the city hall and one of the Lures a Meditite spawned. We were confused at first, but the weather in game had apparently changed to windy. So it made sense for a weather boosted Meditite to spawn. Our of curiosity one of the others clicked on it and checked what the IVs for it could be. He said they could be 84-100%. After catching it and properly checking it he told us it was a 100%! :O So we both caught it as well! Who would've thought a 100% IV Meditite would randomly spawn on one of the Lures. It was definitely a great time to be at that Lure!

It kept raining for most of the time when we walked around. Luckily not too hard so it was still doable. Just had to wipe our phone screens every now and then as the raindrops could start messing with our attempts to catch Totodile. During the final hour of the event the weather changed back to Rainy, so the Totodile became weather boosted again like in the first hour. The first Totodile we encountered on a Lure after the weather changed to Rainy was a 98% IV! Unfortunately lacking the attack stat, still a really awesome catch though! It's one of the few in the 82-100% range that I caught that day. The only one above 90% actually. So I definitely decided to evolve it.

After the event was over we were near the library's Pokéstop and there we wouldn't get wet from the rain. Here we talked a bit more and started checking through our Totodile and evolve them to get the Hydro Cannon move on Feraligatr.

I evolved that 98% that we caught, follow by my highest Shiny. I only managed to come across 2 Shiny Totodile this time. It was a bit surprising to see one of the Shiny be an 80% IV one. It had low CP though, around 240, so it became a low Feraligatr too. I'm not sure yet if I would invest Candy and Stardust in powering that one up.

Prior to the event I already had 2 Lucky Totodile. They are both 93% IV, one with HP and Attack max and the other with HP and Defense max. So I decided to evolve them both to get Hydro Cannon on both. If I'm going to power only one of them up further at some point then it'll likely be the 93% Lucky with max Attack. As it'll require less investment than the 98% Feraligatr.
