Secret Of Mana/Does Gaming Belong On DTube?

Thanks for your reply. And yeah I agree it would affect other genres like reviews. I've personally found some cool stuff on here to do with gaming so I think we should be encouraging it, though it may possibly be a harder genre to grow in, but that's par for the course - it's not easy on YT with gaming either due to oversaturation of gaming content and some other factors, but it isn't impossible to grow in gaming on any platform - YT shows this in that it is very hard to get big in gaming on YouTube but some people have made an amazing success of it - this shows it is a hard slog (and luck does play a role), but it is possible. It's just not probable. Steemit is better for rewarding creators while they are small by far regardless of genre though. I'd definitely recommend you do start uploading on YouTube again though. Your best bet would be to be on both, and if Dtube works for you and uploads properly, that is great because Dtube stuff does seem to get upvoted more on Steemit than YouTube stuff. I personally give my audience the choice between YouTube and Dailymotion by putting both in my posts and I did that with the few videos I managed to get to work on Dtube too. That way they can choose whichever one they like to watch the most. Good luck!
Btw: I upvoted your post now. I forgot to while I was commenting before.
Edit: Hmm apparently I accidentally upvoted my comment instead of your post back when I first posted the comment.... Or something... Idk there's an upvote on your post now anyway idk what I did before but it was meant to be an upvote on your post! Must have accidentally upvoted myself instead...

I wonder if gaming will get more exposure when more gamers from youtube join? I would like to think it would. Going back to your original comment, i have never heard of Vidme so i checked it out and came across their "GoodBye" post. It seemed like a pretty cool place. I wish i would have known about it earlier so i could have experienced it. I do hope things turn out better for DTube though. And i do appreciate your upvote but if you forgot to upvote or upvoted your comment its ok. I upvoted your comments i think but i will double check and apply upvotes if i forgot as well. Thank you again for taking the time to reply

It may get more exposure when more gamers join but then there will be more gamers competing in the gaming section so it may lead to more or less exposure for everyone else if any big gamers move across. It's a double edged sword. It could grow the gaming section greatly and get everyone more exposure or it could just either make the big people dominate that space or bring lots of other gamers and while gaming itself has more exposure (which is great) the gamers are competing against more gamers so it is harder for Little Johnny the gamer to get more exposure as an individual. It would be a good thing either way up to a point but it could potentially increase or decrease the exposure available to the individuals posting within the gaming tag due to more viewers and exposure but also more competition. It's a hard call and we won't really know unless / until it happens. Suck it and see I guess. It will be fun to see how both Dtube and Steemit develop over time too.
