Gaming Clip Contest#002: FFVII | Battling the Midgar Serpent

in gaming •  7 years ago  (edited)

This is a video clip of Classic RPG game, Final Fantasy VII, that I've made using my PS4 to enter @rodznocturne 's Gaming Clip Contest.

Final Fantasy VII will always be special to me regardless of how dated it gets as the years pass by. It was one of my first ever original Playstation games and had so many memorable moments. Like fighting the Scorpion boss at the beginning of the game followed by the anxiety of having to escape the exploding reactor within 10 minutes.

One of the most memorable moments in the game was right before the light hearted task of catching your own chocobo. Like most first timers, I figured that catching a chocobo was optional and that a little walk through the dreadful looking swamp using a very small and polygonal looking Cloud shouldn't be a problem. And Just as I was halfway across to the other side, this massive serpent silhouette appeared out of nowhere and attacked this poor unsuspecting victim!

Not knowing any better, and also fooled by the regular battle music theme, I didn't know that at that level, not many are victorious in a battle against the Massive Midgar Serpent! His regular strikes alone are enough to do away with your pitiful level 20 characters but even if you survive all that and managed to inflict a certain amount of damage to him - don't get it twisted!

He'll unleash the terrifying Beta on you! A true glimpse of what real power looks like in that game.

Thanks for watching!

You know it, bro!

I played this one before. One of those games that make an insomniac. Heck! all FF games make me insomniac. The last one I completed was FFXIII - Lightning Return :D

Thank you for participating and for the support bro!

Wah! You must be a true FF fan. I only played up til FF12 and even that I never finished. Hopefully get the PS4 remastered and finish on that :)

No problem, man! Thank YOU for building up the game community here! My and @siren87's support all the way!
