The next Hearthstone expansion has been announced along with most of its features.
Kobolds & Catacombs will bring the following:
- Dungeon Runs: a new single-player mode in which you must defeat 8 random encounters of increasing difficulty.
- Legendary Weapons: new legendary weapons for all classes.
- Spellstones: special spell cards with increasing effects; they have a requirement which can be fulfilled over and over again.
- Unidentified Cards: cards that gain additional characteristics when you draw them; not sure how that's any different but we'll see.
- Recruiting: you can recruit minions form your deck, which immediately places them into the battlefield.
Perhaps the feature I'm interested in the most is the new Dungeon Run. It shows promise in terms of replayability and will hopefully be a good challenge.
