I find this quite fascinating.
Although I am not currently a gamer, I hale from back in the day when the original text adventure and many of its cousins were developed. I've watched the development of MMPGs with some interest, and have been blown away by stories such as Vinge's "True Names."
It had never occurred to me that there could be a very practical, valuable overlap of blockchain technology and gaming.

Thanks! I'm actually waiting for that platform to launch and see what games get developed there. The issues I mentioned in the article are actually things I experienced in the games I played.
I looked up that book you mentioned, it sounds like an interesting read. It actually reminded me of one of my favorite TV shows of recent years, Person of Interest. At least the part about the powerful AI.

I’ve heard of this but I never got around to looking much into it. There are quite a few interesting things I think and hope blockchain will brining to the gaming world. I can only hope further transparency when it comes to buying or selling game lances keys to play something. I would love to be able to resell old games I just have no use for many more or never really liked. Something I look forward to being more o f a thing when block chain technology is adapted more.
One of the more annoying things is losing saved file data! That sounds like an interesting way to protect against such issues.
