Hey guys iv'e decided i'm going to start doing Mini Reviews, usually my reviews are pretty long and go a bit deeper than they should, so Iv'e decided i'm going to start working on "mini reviews" to cut down on the time it not only takes to write them, but the time it takes to read them, i'll still be doing my normal in-depth reviews every week but sometimes I might throw out a smaller review just to see how well they go.
They'll likely be under 400-500 words unlike my usual 2-3000 word reviews that take forever to read and forever to write, hopefully i'll be doing one either today or tomorrow, the first of which i'm going to do a mini review for is Skyrim since I mean, come on, it's Skyrim i could write a short novel on the game and still not scratch the surface, so hopefully it works, if it doesn't though i'll go back to my full length reviews.
What do you guys thinks, do my reviews take too long to read and would you prefer smaller reviews or do you like me exploring all the aspects of a game? let me know in the comments, cheers guys!.
I feel a mini review we do both you and the readers good. Like you said, it won't have to take forever to be read.

Yeah that was my initial reasoning, but I also feel i may leave too much out of a game review if I don't explore it so i thought i'd get everyones opinion, cheers joe.

Finding the balance between a mini review and an extensive review may be the main thing. I leave it for others to air their opinions too.

I personally find maybe a mid point around 1000 - 1200 words would be ideal, I mean if you get key points mentioned you will get it all across within 1000 words, especially well written or exciting reviews.

Hmmm, i'll have to strike up a balance eventually, i'll see how the mini reviews do, cheers goliath

Mix it up as you see happiest. I find that long form reviews sometimes create mental blockers, and sometimes I just want to say something succinctly.

Yeah I know what you mean, my problem is I get carried away with writing and don't stop until it's a small story haha
