My history with Kirby
I've literally been a Kirby ever since I can remember and have spent hours and hours playing his games. When I was around 3 or 4 i got a Gameboy Advance and the game Kirby: the Amazing Mirror, and played it nonstop. I was obsessed with Metaknight's sword, Galaxia, that you get for completing the game and just ran around with it in game for hours. I of course got other Kirby games and loved each of them. Sense I was a kid, any game that I got was instantly amazing to me, but one Kirby game really stood out to me. It was Kirby: Squeak Squad, or Kirby: Mouse Attack for non US countries. What stood out to me in this game was the fact that you could store abilities or items on the touchscreen and keep them for later. So obviously I started to store all my favorite abilities and primarily use those throughout the game. Soon I found something special in one of the many chests that can be found in the game. It was the ability to mix fire, ice, or electricity with a sword to make a fire, ice, or electric sword. The same went for the bombs and the wheel ability(to a certain extent), but my favorites were the sword of course.
What this has to do with Star Allies
Well sense I was in love with these elemental swords, I filled up the slots(5) on the bottom screen of the DS with just those elemental swords and proceeded to speed run the entire game from start to finish using only those abilities that I had stored. I did this over and over and over again and I loved every second of it. Now we see this return in Kirby: Star Allies but to a greater extend. We have the addition of water and wind that can be used in combinations now, but not just with swords and bombs, but with any weapon based copy ability. This very much excites me and I will get this game day 1 and play the hell out of it. I'll most likely do multiple playthroughs with different weapons mixed with whatever else. However, this time it will be harder than when I was a kid sense I will only have the one ability and not be able to store 5 extras. That doesn't matter though since I've gotten a lot better in the past 12 or so years xD
