When Capcom released the Resident Evil series of horror games with the zombie outbreak approach as the main focus, the horror atmosphere it offers has managed to attract gamers from all over the world. In just a short time, this franchise instantly became popular and growing with the release of two new sequels that are not less epic. Maintaining the same characteristics as the classic Resident Evil, Capcom again experimented with the release of a similar game series entitled Dino Crisis.

Officially released for the PlayStation in 1999 then, Dino Crisis actually did not have a significant difference with the first three series of Resident Evil. Simply put, the camera's point of view, the gameplay, the puzzle element, until the way the enemy ambushed your character is really similar. The biggest difference here is that you have to fight different kinds of Dinosaur creatures. But why dinosaurs? Are not they a living beast unrelated to the mystical element? Well, here's the question that most gamers started throwing in the days before the game was released.

Now imagine when you are in an isolated island, where you are trapped in a research center ruled by the ferocious and deadly dinosaurs. In this situation how do you feel? Certainly very scared is not it? Stay alive, find a way out, and face all the challenges that are facing, this is what makes Dino Crisis not much different from other survival horror games.

So what about the storyline? The approach itself is still similar to the way of delivering another classic Resident Evil series, where you act as a member of Secret Operation Raid Team (SORT) named Regina. The main mission you have to take is to save Regina's friends who are trapped in the "Third Energy" research site on the island of Ibis. A special team was sent to investigate something, the experiment failed, and the big inisden took place. Although the concept is merely "Copy-paste," Capcom can still offer a truly unique and unique survival horror gaming experience.

From the side of the gameplay there is no significant difference. You still control the characters from one area to another while solving the puzzle to access items and paths to new areas. During the trip, you should also collect resources such as ammunition and potions to prepare against dangerous wild dinosaurs. Because Dino Crisis is still faithful to the taste of horror, you will surely be surprised by some jumpscare moments. Whereas Dinosaurs, but why even so horror?

Just to be nostalgic, or you've never played it yet, Dino Crisis is one of the most unique survival horror games and is a must for every gamer to try.
