There is a hidden customization feature in the game but this is not part of it. This is a mod players created themselves.

    Oh right sorry!

    It was this bit:

    "players found a hidden customization feature in the game that was not yet released"

    that got me confused. Made me think they were actually insane enough to add that feature!
