Game Spotlight: Besiege

Game spotlight:

Game spotlight is a series of short blogs I will post regularly on my page, the idea is to cover all types of small and indie games across all platforms that I think are great fun to play and are not too expensive. I personally love playing games made by small studios and independent creators because they tend to be more unique, so you are often in for a lot of surprises.

Besiege:

Besiege is a single-player physics based game.

The idea of Besiege is relatively simple, it is all about creating medieval inventions that destroy structures like windmills and kill sheep etc. Although the idea is to create medieval siege instruments you can really create what you want, you have basic types of building materials however you really can do what yo want with them and put them together in what ever way you can think of.

These are a few cool inventions i have come across;

So you really can create a lot of interesting things, if you have a look online you can find some pretty funny stuff, the first gif goes to show that you can also make some pretty complicated machines that do a lot of unexpected things.

The game itself has been out for a few years however it is still in early stages and constantly being worked on and improved, so expect to see more things to destroy and a wider range of building materials.

I really like Besiege as a whole because you can try to create anything you think up and then it's pretty funny to see if what you have made actually works. Besiege definitely isn't a game to take to seriously, it really is just about having fun and that's why I like the game. You can also find yourself spending way to long in game trying to create complicated things and has a surprising amount of replay ability.
