Game Spotlight: Loadout

Game spotlight:

Game spotlight is a series of short blogs I will post regularly on my page, the idea is to cover all types of small and indie games across all platforms that I think are great fun to play and are not too expensive. I personally love playing games made by small studios and independent creators because they tend to be more unique, so you are often in for a lot of surprises.

Loadout:

Loadout is a third-person multiplayer shooter that is free-to-play.

In Loadout the main game type is a form of capture the flag, the main thing that separates this form other shooters is the gun customization. The game has an absolutely massive range of weapon combinations which makes games very interesting, the look of the game itself and the characters within are also quite unique which is nice to see.

The five main types of bullets work as the base for each weapon;

Slug

Tesla

Health

Pyro

The Juice

Each type of bullet does what you would really expect, the main things you need to know are Slugs are usual types of bullets and explosives, Tesla is a bolt of electricity that can curve slightly to a target, Health heals and has a 150% overheal, Pyro causes burn damage over time and The Juice allows you and your team to move faster and do bonus damage.

There is also a lot of further customization as you can add multiple attachments and bonuses to each weapon, however there is a really to many things to mention, other than as you use a weapon it will level up which will give you points that you can use to make parts of your weapons stronger.

Because of the large amount of weapons when you actually get in game you never know what you will come up against so you always have to be on guard, and you would be surprised that the skill cap for the game is actually quite high.

I am a big fan of Loadout as it is a little less serious than your average shooter, it really is a game made by gamers so it is a lot of fun to play and create new weapons. I personally have had a lot of fun playing some games online finding what type of weapons I enjoy the most, however I would say it is more fun to play with friends.

Also if you can get a team together you can really work as a team with the healing and Juice weapons.
