Lan day with the men!

So Friday at around 1 in the afternoon we arrived at the house where it was all going down. In the next couple of hours the small garage in the back garden would become a war zone.

But this was not just any war zone, it was to be the ultimate clash between 16 well equipped Call of Duty masters. Each brought their unique skills to the battle zone and their screams of joy or sheer irritation as the small maps became a mass grave of bodies.

We set up all the computers and started to chat and share the games we were going to play against each other. Call of Duty 2 was the first game we played and as you know a death match with 16 players can be terrifying as you die as you spawn. There were so many screams of agony as our one friend Liam dominated in every aspect, with his scoped rifle he made many fear running out into the open.

After some time we moved onto a few other games, Flatout 2, the funniest game ever. Really great for lanning as it has so many different styles of game play. Of course we had to do some old school gaming and played a bit of Black Hawk Down. That was followed by another round of Call of Duty 4.

All of this was made possible by cables, lots and lots of messy cables all running to the little 32 port hub on of the guys brought. As you can see the centre of the area was a death trap, you could easily fall over the amount of wires on the floor.

After a great and long 12hours of gaming we have decided to do it again in a few weeks time. Will keep you posted on the experience and I might take a video or 2.
