BORDERLANDS [Game Review-Billingual]

As always, I'll be present every day, to share game related information, be it game reviews, game strategies, how to play games, or something else. And on this occasion, I want to discuss a the first series of Borderlands games. As we know, Borderlands is an open-world game with a first person shooter concept, developed by Gearbox Software and published by 2K Games, for PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and Microsoft Windows consoles, which released in October 2009 ago. The story begins, when at that time, a former archaeologist named Dahl and one of his colleagues, separated from the entourage on a planet called Pandora. And there, they try to find a Vault, to re-meet with their colleagues. After a long journey, they found the city of Fyrestone, and a painting of a mysterious female figure inside it, known as the Guardian Angel. From the painting, they get a clue, which eventually leads them to meet with a robot named Claptrap, and a doctor named Dr.Zed. And from that meeting, Dr.Zed helps them to build a reputation by killing the villain leaders, and also get the first artifact collection, to open a Vault. On the other hand, a former archaeologist and associate of Dahl named Patricia Tannis, explains that the dome can only be accessed every two hundred years, and they need three more artifacts as the key to opening the Vault.

Hearing this, Dahl and his colleagues were immediately trying to find the remaining three parts. And before long, they finally found the second and third pieces, though they did not know where the last piece of artefact located. And before long, they also get information that artifact there were actually only three pieces, because what Tannis had said was not true. Dahl who feels betrayed, asks his partner Steele to disable the ECHO network on the planet, with the aim of preventing further communication with Guardian Angel and others. Later, Dahl tries to infiltrate the Crimson headquarters and finds Tannis there who has been imprisoned. And there, Tannis tries to explain that he is forced to betray them, in order that they no longer try to open Vault.

Well, for Gameplay, at the beginning of the game you can choose one of four available characters. Each character has its own unique expertise and certainly has certain weapons. You can choose Roland as Soldier, Mordecai as the Hunter, Lilith as the Siren, or Brick who acts as the Berserker. And After you choose between the four characters, then you will be given a mission by a character that is not a player, and later from those missions you will be given points, money, or an interesting prize. You can allocate these points, into a skill tree that will feature three different basic character specialties. Like Mordecai who can be a specialist in sniping maybe, or any other special ability. Furthermore, in addition to your abilities will also be equipped with two weapons, energy shield, grenades, and other. Then, one of the main features of Borderlands is weapons and goods, which are made to bring down enemies.

This game uses a procedural content creation system, so you can create weapons, change firepower, or add effects. In addition, procedural systems can also be used to create enemy characteristics, which have different attacks. But, you have to remember, you can get damaged, if your shield is gone and that will also affect your health. So, you have to wait some time to be revived by other players. In addition, you can also access vehicles and engage in vehicle battles with other enemies. And for gameplay mode, this game can be played alone, or Co-op system starts from two players to four players through screen split. In addition to Co-op, you can also play in a one-on-one duel, 2vs2 or 3vs1 free battle with fellow other players.

Cerita ini berawal, dimana saat itu salah seorang mantan arkeolog yang bernama Dahl dan salah seorang rekannya, terpisah dari rombongannya di sebuat planet bernama Pandora. Dari lukisan tersebut, mereka mendapatkan sebuah petunjuk, yang akhirnya mempertemukan mereka dengan sebuah robot bernama Claptrap dan seorang dokter yang bernama Dr. Zed. Dari pertemuan tersebut, Dr.Zed dan Claptrap pun membantu mereka untuk membangun reputasi dengan cara membunuh para pemimpin penjahat, dan mendapatkan koleksi artefak pertama, untuk membuka sebuah Kubah. Dilain sisi, seorang mantan arkeolog sekaligus rekan dari Dahl yang bernama Patricia Tannis, menjelaskan bahwa Kubah tersebut hanya dapat diakses setiap dua ratus tahun sekali, dan mereka membutuhkan tiga artefak lagi sebagai kunci untuk membuka Kubah tersebut.

Mendengar hal tersebut, Dahl dan rekannya pun langsung berusaha untuk mencari ketiga bagian yang tersisa tersebut. Dan tak lama, mereka pun akhirnya menemukan potongan bagian kedua dan ketiga, walaupun mereka tidak tahu dimana posisi potongan artefak terakhir berada. Tetapi, tak lama mereka mendapat informasi, bahwa sebenarnya hanya ada tiga potongan, karena apa yang telah Tannis katakan itu tidaklah benar.Dahl yang merasa dikhianati, meminta rekannya Steele untuk menonaktifkan jaringan ECHO di planet tersebut, dengan tujuan untuk mencegah komunikasi lebih lanjut dengan Guardian Angel dan ataupun yang lainnya. Kemudian, Dahl mencoba menyusup ke markas Crimson dan menemukan Tannis disana yang telah dipenjara. Tannis pun mencoba menjelaskan bahwa dia dipaksa mengkhianati mereka, agar mereka tidak lagi berusaha untuk membuka Kubah tersebut.
