After an unexpected delay, I won't be getting my new graphics card until tomorrow so I decided to go ahead and write the final part to this guide. The following are games that you can play without a graphics card which opens the doors wide open for those on the tightest of budgets who may not have a GPU yet. I'm sure I'll be forgetting some games, but let's get into it!
Gods Unchained
This rather new card game by the Immutable Team is similar enough for though familiar with Hearthstone's game mechanics, that switching to it makes it easy. There's even guides for those coming from the dark side and wanting to try something new. What's awesome about Gods Unchained is that you have the ability to buy and sell individual cards for real money in the form of crypto which is really cool! I'm not the greatest at this game, but it's a ton of fun no less and I'd definitely recommend anyone unfamiliar with it to check it out.
Need for Speed Most Wanted/Need for Speed Carbon
I'm going to include both titles in here instead of separating them up. The original Need for Speed Most Wanted came out all the way back in 2005 with it's predecessor Carbon coming out the very next year. While both of these titles are a bit older now, most Need for Speed fans consider these two games to be some of the very best even beating out some of the newer games from this series. If you enjoy racing games and have never checked either of these out, I highly recommend them!
Rocket League
This is a fairly popular eSports title which means that it can run on most PCs. In this game you control of a car in a giant soccer (football) stadium as you compete against others to score the most goals. I played a little bit of this game with a friend a couple years ago and I actually had quite a bit of fun. If you're looking for something different, this is one worth checking out!
Amnesia: The Dark Descent
If you're a fan of horror games, it doesn't get much scarier than the first Amnesia game. In this game you wake up in a strange castle not knowing why you're there or who you even are. As you progress through the game you piece together clues about what actually happened to you. To call this game scary is an understatement. I've never actually beaten it for that very reason. Having came out all the way back in 2010, this game is sure to run on most PCs even running fairly well on my old crappy dual core laptop. Turn out the lights, wear headphones, and be prepared for a terrifying time!
League of Legends
This is one of the most popular eSports games in the world. I personally never cared for it, but it's wildly popular and can even be run on a PC with a single core CPU with is unheard of. If you have an absolutely terrible PC, but you're interested in getting into eSports, this one is worth checking out.
Don't Starve/Don't Starve Together
Both of these titles have an interesting art style with one simple goal... survive! It's been few years since I last played it, but the goal is to navigate around the world collection items and food and fighting off the various monsters you'll encounter. Don't Starve is a fun title, but things get much more fun when you team up with a friend in Don't Starve Together. If you're a fan of games like Minecraft, I'd suggest checking out this title.
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3
I couldn't forget this older COD game that came out all the way back in 2010. Out of all the games in my Steam library, this is the one that I've put the most hours into at around 600 or so hours. While the single player campaign is alright, things really get fun on the multiplayer side. I play this game almost every day and it still actually has quite a few people that play it. It'll run just fine without a GPU and I tend to get between 30-60 fps on my PC which is totally playable. If you've got an older PC and enjoys shooters, you'll probably enjoy this one. Maybe you'll even see me on there on occasion!
That's it for now! I may make a part 3 to this guide eventually, but I'm running out of great games to list so don't expect anything else in this series anytime soon.
That's all for now! Expect a couple articles from me tomorrow on my new gaming PC!
Have an awesome rest of your day!
