This one, together with the v-synch one, have been two very useful videos, combining tech detail with a relatively simple explanation.

I wonder when I'll be able to actually try one of these new technologies - apparently my eyes will thank me a lot for it. Of course now, with 4k monitors going up to 240hz, having the best hardware on the market will definitely cost a fortune, but I'd be more than happy to settle for a 2k 144hz monitor (with a decent panel, since I share your hate for TNs). I don't really think anything above that is very useful or noticeable.
