The history of Bleem goes back to the years 1998 when on the internet circulated some images of a PSX emulator that not only saw that it executed the great Spyro: The Dragon, in addition it improved its graphics, many of the netizens of that time simply rejected any news of these images, they were thought to be false and that said emulator did not exist.

Despite this many people decided to support this emulator, so they did their due research, from here the person in charge of the development of this emulator was informed, in which Randy Linden was, Randy had a great passion for the world of consoles and videogames, his first works originated since 1988 when he made a Comodore 64 emulator for the Amiga computer, in addition to working on the port of Doom for the great Super Nintendo.

The communities of cybernauts when hearing about this great news were very excited to know what this great emulator would be, a few months later the minimum requirements were announced to be able to run that program on a computer, this surprised many people because it seemed totally impossible, I only asked for a Pentium processor of 166Mhz with MMX technology and 16 Mb of RAM, everything pointed out that it would be a fairly light software capable of running on a low budget computer.

Finally, Bleem was released as a free beta in 1999, showing all its potential to the public, once again the users who were able to download it were astonished by the great emulation result it showed, apart from the hardware acceleration functionalities. , this was a function that took advantage of the maximum potential of a computer that contained a mid-range or high-end graphics card, making the PSX games look really impressive.

The Bleem team decided to launch a DEMO version of their product on their official website, also claimed that this product would be sold for an amount of $ 29.99, in turn initiated the pre-order program for those who wanted to book this great emulator, some weeks after having launched this presale the company SONY returned to the attack with various demands to Bleem, many thought that as this company had a very small group of members would be frightened by the charges presented by SONY, but for surprises of many Bleem faced this giant, gaining a diversity of demands, if we add the conflicts that Sony had with Connectix was a great moment of tension, but despite all this, these two companies came out winners in different trials.

These problems were placed more tense in the E3 of 1999, Bleem amounted to a Stand showing the functionality of the great emulator with PSX Gran Turismo, SONY executives were furious in a big way, this led to a verbal conflict between several personnel, unfortunately the Bleem's stand had to be removed from this exhibition, but this was the least of the problems, because that week they sold more than 50,000 copies of their great program, earning $ 1,499,000, figures that represented a great success.

After having a success in PC the Bleem team decides to release a version for the big console Dreamcast, ensuring that it would have compatibility with more than 400 titles of the PSX console, however, it would be divided into 4 versions which each one would have the capacity of reproducing 100 titles, additionally they would have graphic improvements taking it to a scale of resolution of 640 x 480, SONY to see this would not stay with the crossed hands, reason why it demanded again to Bleem, this new demand plus other technical problems that they had with the emulator for Dreamcast delayed its exit, this made lose the interest of many people, in addition they only removed 3 compatible discs with a single game each one, baptized with the new name of Bleemcast compatible with the games Tekken 3, Metal Gear Solid and Gran Turismo 2.

After this release SONY threatened all the distributors and stores that sold their products that they would stop sending them if they sold the programs developed by Bleem, this brought a lot of losses for the company, because no company or store accepted their product due to the great threat received, this led the Bleem team to the lowest of the market, officially closing its website in November 2001.

Despite the great fight of Connectix and Bleem against SONY both companies lost the great battle for the great power of the money that this last company had, in spite of this their different contributions to the world of the videojuegos were simply excellent, it stopped being the "Emulation" as something hidden and gave the necessary basis for new people to make a firm decision to carry out future projects that were evolving over time.
