The GameCube console was one of those that I could not have at the time of its departure, due to the cost of the same console and the games, it was thanks to the comrades of yesteryear that I could play many of their excellent titles when they went on the market, when prices began to fall to the years, I decided to buy my first GameCube second hand, it was at that precise moment when I made the decision to look for those pieces that I simply played, but do not finish them, one of them was Luigi's Mansion. I remember that before their departure they heard many rumors about that game, everyone thought that it would be the new Mario for the great GameCube, however, for the day of its launch more than one person was surprised, Nintendo made a decision that to me opinion was not bad, creating an original and simple game leaving it exclusively as a game for the launch of the console.

Luigi's Mansion is not a game that is characterized by having some impressive graphics, but that's not going to rule out, 3D modeling and its drawings are really well elaborated, both our beloved protagonist and his enemies give a good visual taste, apart that we can observe all the moods of Luigi by the corporal gestures and his face, if he is happy, sad or frightened, this detail makes the game fun.

The ambience design for the whole level (which is the mansion which is divided into sections) is very good, it really makes you feel that it is a haunted mansion, although as we all know it is not a horror game as such, but this gave a very original touch to the game especially when we realize that our main enemies are ghosts.

This is not the typical 3d platform game that we are accustomed to see, the goal is very simple, enter one of the rooms of the mansion, eliminate all the ghosts and collect the key that give us with which we can make way for new areas of the big house, our weapons will be our big vacuum cleaner and a flashlight.

As we go through the game our ability increases as well as the power of our vacuum cleaner, which with improvements we can elements such as fire or water to eliminate ghosts, this implies that the level of difficulty will increase a little, if we see a fire ghost we can not absorb it simply, we first use the water element in it so that it is invulnerable and able to absorb it. Something that caught my attention is that we can interact with almost all the elements that are in the rooms, these can hide hidden or secret coins to access treasure chests.

Its gameplay seems very comfortable to me, considering that we have freedom of movement with the analog stick, the flashlight (which is super important since all the rooms at the beginning are dark and apart with it we can start the battles with the ghosts) we can move it with the yellow stick, thus we have two controls completely separated movement-view, our vacuum cleaner we control with the buttons L and R, apart we have a Game Boy Horror which gives us our location in the mansion, which doors are accessible or that they lack some key, as you will see nothing complicated.

Sometimes we will have to think a little to solve certain puzzles (they are really nothing complicated) many of them are to start the battle against some boss who will give us some prized key to be able to continue in our adventure in search of Mario.

This game does not excel in its musical section but not because of this it is bad, it is quite entertaining and it really does the work for the type of game, as curiosity in occasions luigui half will sing the songs that will be listening in the background, their quality in their sounds as expected is excellent, very careful in each of its details, really gives the last touch to the great mansion to really be an adventure of fear (for Luigi) and adventure.

Luigi's Mansion is a game that is not characterized by having a high difficulty, sometimes it becomes a little repetitive, when you play it for the first time you will feel the restlessness of seeing what will happen and how the story ends, but once finished you would not want to play it (as it was in my case) the challenges that put you after its end seemed a bit far-fetched (finishing it again, but changing the site objects really did not please the idea), however it is not a good game, it is not outstanding but if totally playable and fun, its theme and history (which is very simple) make us reach their final total.
