This weekend are the MLG Anaheim CWL Call of Duty Championships! While I have enjoyed less and less actually playing Call of Duty, I have enjoyed watching the competitive landscape more as they have been very innovative in coordinating different events.
I went to Call of Duty World Championships in persob last year and the venue was a great experience. I saw myself many times wishing I could be on that side of the desk competing for a chance to make a living playing video games. It is like a dream come true but the pressure and adrenaline is so crazy I could never do it.
Enjoying watching sporting events has brought me to actually enjoying watching these events as the competitive nature has increased in recent years with prize pools reaching the millions of dollars. I have even bought jerseys and tshirts to feel partbof the experience.
I really hope the industry continues to mature and go mainstream as it is fun to share with gaming friends these experiences. Maybe I could create an eSports organization as part of an investment in the future.

Im old but I still watch all the cod events, this will be fun! I love cod, I have been playing since the very first one came out, and started playing online with MW2! Im excited to play Black ops 4, I loved 2 and 3, imo the best modern cods to date!

Agreed! Black Ops 2 was the best for me! I miss the league play and hope they stay true to it for BO4.
