Gamerholic is the 1st EVER crypto currency for gaming, launched two years ago.

I believe gaming is the best way to educate the masses on crypto currency, while solving the monetization problem for indie game developers.

Educating gamers on crypto currency has been a hurdle over the past couple years, but now esports is bigger than ever before and esports platforms are looking into bitcoin and blockchain.

In addition the success a game like Spells Of Genesis is proving the superiority of the blockchain for tradable virtual assets.

It took a while for us to figure out how best to jump the education hurdle and get gamers playing for Gamerholic coin in heads up games and tournaments. There is a barrier of entry in that the gamer 1st has to get bitcoin, in order to get Gamerholic coin or the game developer has to risk a game being taken down on IOS for integrating our currency in their game.

In the past, we host Game-A-Thons
Game-a-thon

and tried selling shirts with Gamerholic coin/bitcoin attached on the tag

Now, along came Steemit, with it's clever content appreciation model and instinctively I realized this
is a great way to engage none competitive gamers to the Gamerholic platform.

Our model is different, there's only one coin Gamerholic coin, (GHC) currently traded on bittrex We don't intend to launch a second coin.

We are now in the era of the smarter gamer. Young men and women who can make millions of dollars competing in global tournaments or from donations on twitch and sponsorships.

For over two years, Gamerholic has advocated for the average gamer, who’s just as much a Gamerholic as the pro’s earning millions. Your game reviews and stories are just as needed in the community. Gamers who host local tournaments are also very important to the overall gaming community.

This is why we think Gamers will LOVE the new Gamerholic. You may have seen many of my posts in the past, but here’s a fresh introduction to what Gamerholic is.

Gamerholic is a crypto currency for video games.

You can use this Gamerholic to buy real things in the real world and use it to buy things in video games. In fact, it’s one currency you can win and use across games. It’s mobile, completely digital and you can send it to or receive it from any one in the world.

This brings some amazing new twists and turns to gaming. It also means a LOT less expensive gaming experience for you.

Here’s an example:
You write a game review on the Gamerholic.com platform. Normally if you posted your review on facebook, or twitter etc.. your friends and followers may ‘Like’ your post.

On Gamerholic, other gamers may give your post ‘Respek’

What's the BIG Difference?
When gamers give your post ‘Respek’ you earn Gamerholic coins (GHC), a crypto currency you can spend in the real world or in video games. It’s that easy.

You can:
write, game reviews, blogs
live stream
offer gaming tutorials and tips
even host FREE gaming tournaments
Free Tournaments!

Our unique format brings FREE big prize tournaments to gaming.
When you create a tournament post, each time other gamers give your tournament ‘Respek’ the prize pot of the tournament goes up. Players can enter the tournament FREE!

As a reward for hosting a successful tournament, you earn a portion of the tournament pot.

You may ask, where does the money for the rewards come from?

We allocate a % of all service fees to distribute back to content providers. When someone buys a Gamerholic shirt, or an item in a video game, a portion of the service fee collected for content rewards.
In addition, Gamerholic is a crypto currency -

Remember we started this post by saying, we are in the era of the smarter gamer. The smarter gamer will have to understand how crypto currency technology works.

Gamerholic is a sha256 crypto currency like bitcoin. This means we can mine Gamerholic coins to add to the pool of available rewards.
How the ‘Respek’ system works

Your Gamerholic Power Level determines how much weight your Respek holds.

Your Gamerholic Power Level (GPL) is determined by the number of Gamerholic coins in your cold wallet.

The more coins in your cold wallet, the higher your power level. If you withdraw funds from your cold wallet, your power level goes down.

Each time a gamer gives your content ‘Respek’ 50% of your earnings goes into your cold wallet, 50% goes into your hot wallet.

You can withdraw coins from your hot wallet, once a day.
If you decide to withdraw coins from your cold wallet, your account will power down over 8 weeks, with coins in your cold wallet sent to you weekly.

You cannot load coins into your cold wallet to boast your GPL.
You are allowed a one time power up at a cost.
Trading Gamerholic coins

You can trade Gamerholic coin on an exchange like bittrex for bitcoin. Like any collectible, the concept here is buy low sell high. Trade the Gamerholic’s you earned from your content at right price.

Head over to the platform and start earning Gamerholic coin, while the coin is trading at the very low current price.
