‘Blackout’ – Black Ops 4 is doing Battle Royale

Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 will ship with Battle Royale
The Battle Royale addition to the FPS game will come at the exclusion of a Campaign Mode
The Battle Royale Map will include throws to previous Black Ops Maps, Weapons and Characters

Here's a link to the announcement stream, they've announcing the lowdown on Black Ops 4's content, including Multiplayer, Zombies, and Blackout. Without anything further, here's the trailer - hype train, full speed ahead.

Yeah, that's to be expected, everyone is tapping into Battle Royale these days, it's the latest flavour.

Also announced in the Stream was that this Battle Royale mode will be replacing the Campaign this time around, and will be one of the 3 modes of play, aside from Zombies and Multiplayer. The map will also be 1,500 times the size of Nuketown

But I'll applaud Activision and Treyarch for this - this is them tapping into the latest flavour whilst its still fresh. Hopefully it stays that way by the time November comes around.

The mode is called Blackout, and it's going to feature content from all the major Call of Duty releases. That's some major fan service.

That's not really surprising since fortnite has been really successful over the past few months. Activision would really like to get some slice of that battle royal pie.
