Hey guys!
By this time I think it is safe to assume that most of you gamers out there have heard about Warframe, the free-to-play game on Steam that has been around for about 6 years now!
Ive been playing this game on and off for around 4 years now, and I continue coming back to it. On every fresh install of Windows, the first game to be installed is always Warframe.
For a free-to-play game it has quite alot to offer, in terms of great graphics, frequent updates & just so much to explore.
Gameplay:
What kind of game is Warframe you may ask? Well giving it a specific genre is a little tricky. There are currently 21 game modes that you will find when exploring everything available, from survival missions where you can survive for hours with the right squad, all the way to spy missions where you can be as sneaky as you want to be :p
Every mission completed succesfully will award you with loot that you can then use to build the parts for your new weapons or your badass looking metal frames.
The fact that the slogan of the game is(and will probably always be) Ninjas play for free makes it it even harder to place it in a specific genre... and no, you are not just some space ninja, the game is alot more complex and in depth with its own lore and dedicated wiki.
Its is not a game for everyone though, you will need to like a good story, and be prepared to do most of the missions repeatedly for a chance to get the specific parts or items you need to upgrade your arsenal. What makes Warframe unique aswell is that the maps will not look the same in every mission, the layout is always changing, giving the effect of being in different ships of the factions as you progress.
Moving around in the missions, you have so much free control over the way your character interacts with the enemies that you feel like a god mowing them down with your badass moves, weapons and over powered abilities. Dont be fooled though, if you are not prepared the enemies might swarm you in survival, dont go alone Tenno!
Warframe has put an emphasis on cooperative gameplay, making warframes(your metal space ninja character)stronger when they do missions together and work together for the better loot.
My current favorite setup:
To be honest, in this game you wont exactly have a "favorite warframe" or setup, as the game is constantly updating and the weapon/warframe you might have thought of as OP a while ago might seem a bit underpowered later on. In the end you will definitely be changing your setup frequently as they are needed in the different game modes.
However, for the past while when i find myself wanting to do long survival missions or just pick a reliable setup, this is what it looks like,
Warframe: Chroma Prime | Primary Weapon: Arca Plasmor | Secondary Weapon: Akbolto Prime | Melee Weapon: Gram Prime |
Chroma Prime:
From all the warframes available, Chroma Prime has to be my most reliable frame. He is tanky, looks badass and he is ment to look like a dragon, making him really OP in my opinion.Arca Plasmor:
The shotgun that will disintegrate enemies who are foolish enough to come to close to you, this weapon can take out rows of enemies in front of you in one shot!Akbolto Prime:
The akboltos shoot some big ass rounds that can peg your enemies to the wall, what is not to like about that?Gram Prime:
It is big, it is heavy, and its ppowerful! The gram prime is a heavy blade weapon that slices your enemies right in half in a blink of an eye. It does not have the nickname The father of swords for no reason :o
Combining these weapons together makes chrome a fiery dragon that will burn up any enemie that comes too close, and makes him strong enough to take a shit load of damage without having a scratch on him.
If you are looking for something new to play, download Warframe and join a really busy gaming community with tons of friendly people and active players.
