I couldn't wait, but a bunch of my friends decided they're going to wait for the PC release, which is disappointing. I'd buy it twice if your progress carried over.
A piece of advice for once it come out on PC: as soon as you gain access to the Clans tab, join a clan! You will immediately start reaping the benefits of your clan's activities (ie free gear), and they'll be there for you to jump into their games / vice versa if help is needed. I haven't messed with Guided Games yet, but I'm sure it'll be a big deal for a lot of people, and you'll need to find a good clan for that. The Bungie website isn't very good for finding a clan, though, and you can't search for them in the game itself, so I recommend either the Destiny 2 subreddit or this Destiny 2 LFG site (I actually got invited to my current one through here) for a Clan that will actually communicate with you and be helpful to you.
