Improv rarely comes back, so yours may be fine. Regardless, I think you should simply continue. People need to check back after rolling (the response is generally within 5 to 10 seconds) to see what was rolled and continue their turn so as not to hold up everyone else.

Sorry, yes, I like seeing what other people continue with when in the middle of things they didn't start. That's why I always leave it.
