Rhythm Gaming
The idea of a rhythm game is to hit notes that come up on a screen to the beat of the music.
There are many different formats of rhythm games, but my expertise is in Dance Rhythm Gaming.
As you can see from the above picture, there are arrows which go from the bottom of the screen upwards towards a "target".
The idea is to hit the corresponding arrow exactly when it cross the target.
The "Perfect" denotes the judgement awarded hitting the arrow. Depending on how accurate you step to the beat, you will be awarded various judgements which are determined by how far "off" you are when you hit the arrow.
For instance, a "Perfect" means you hit the arrow within 16ms of the arrow cross the target. A "Great" is awarded if you step within 100ms.
You can also miss the arrow entirely in which case you are awarded a miss.
At the end, your score is calculated from the total number of arrows you hit, as well as their judgements.

Before you say it looks inhuman, I've been playing this game for more than 10 years so I am a veteran.
