Ever since the launch of PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds, the battle royale genre has struck a chord with players, and it is more popular now than it has ever been. Following that, it appears that Counter-Strike: Global Offensive is next in line for the battle royale treatment.
Thanks to Valve News Network who has put the CS:GO developer under the magnifying glass and woven a theory from a number of instances of battle royal mode spotted in CS:GO patches. The patches discussed in the video references all sorts of contents and features not yet found in CS:GO including the new 'Survival' mode.
But considering the fact that enthusiasts always keep finding references and nothing has ever come of them, this could also end up being just another theory.
