One thing everybody should be doing to increase their Light level in Destiny 2 is joining a Clan. Your activity feeds into the team's weekly level, which benefits everybody in the team, rewarding you Legendary and Bright Engrams. It's basically free gear for doing nothing. Plenty of Clans are recruiting, and the bigger, the better, so find a Clan recruiting for Destiny 2 as soon as possible.
