I'm very interested in this community and what it could become. With my first post, Jimmer gone post about something I'm currently passionate about. Hopefully it may reach someone looking for a new game to dive into with friends.
I started playing Rainbow Six Siege this year and think very highly of it. I've never had the same type of intensity, strategy, and satisfaction from a multiplayer shooter. Other shooters, such as call to booty, you're really just out there for an individual performance and stroking on your K/D. For siege, I may do well on my team, but the group working together or making some amazing plays is way more satisfying. Wins and losses are taken to heart my mans.
Gameplay:
5v5
1 life rounds
Rotate Attacking/Defending starts
First to 4 rounds win
Win by 2
Over 35 Operators with unique guns, gadgets, and abilities
Here's some of the quick reasons I see to pick this bad boy up:
- Destructible environment changes each attack/defense engagement
- Game is still improving and growing
- Well balanced levels and operators
Unfortunately, a lot of games these days are not released anywhere near complete. Coming into this game now, it feels a lot more complete ~2 years after release. They have a whole year 3 roadmap planned for 2018 and new people will still be joining. I had a real rough time learning and playing with people who were much better than me. If you stick with it and have a good group of friends to learn with, it will pay off. Map knowledge is crucial to be able to compete, so don't be scared to get in a cozy onesie and stroll through these maps solo to learn all the clever ways to attack objectives. Being over 200 hours into the game, I'm still finding routes into rooms that I didn't know before.
All in all it's a very complex and rewarding fps. Pick it up and try with friends!
