This week, a new cryptocurrency based game was released for Android devices (and soon PC and iOS as well) called HODL Rocket. The game has been developed and published by new US tech company Future Co., founded and lead by William Anderson.
This'll be one of the first games that will (eventually) allow you to earn cryptocurrency, primarily Electroneum (ETN), simply by playing. The game is still in its early stages, and for the time being, you can't earn any ETN just yet, so consider this a sort of public beta/practise run for the eventual hard launch.
Electroneum was launched by Richard Ells and his team back in November 2017, with the aim of reducing the barriers to entry for cryptocurrencies and in the process achieve mass adoption of a cryptocurrency, with a large part of the roadmap involving gamifying the currency to help achieve this goal.
I was lucky enough to get my hands on an early beta release, and I have to say it's surprisingly addictive. The controls are nice and smooth, and they really don't take very long to get used to. It's also hard, with my first few attempts only achieving a high score of 19 (I've seen some people reaching the 80s so it can be done!). I'd definitely recommend you go check it out, and take advantage of the opportunity to get some practise in before you're able to earn some ETN through it.
I'll be asking the Future Co. team some questions in the next few days, so if there's anything you'd like me to ask, pop your question in the comments section.
What do you think about this new crypto-orientated game? and what are your feelings about Electroneum as a whole? Let me know in the comments down below, and make sure to follow me for the latest Cryptocurrency News and General Geeky Goodness! Peace!

i really don't think that is going to be easy to award ETN. The devs of ETN should work with the dev from the game , and for now, i really don't think that is possible.

Well, I'll be asking the team a few questions at the beginning of next week, I'll happily bring up their plans for partnering with Electroneum, and how they see the process working. This has been a key part of Electroneum's plans from launch, so hopefully they'll be eager to start gamifying the token. What makes you think it's gonna be tricky to reward users with ETN?
Thanks for stopping by, Peace!

That's the whole point of ETN.

Interesting! Lucky for you you get to use the beta miner. Is this the same as the electroneum mining app though? I guess if it's too easy one won't mine long enough for hashes.

At the moment, it's just a crypto "themed" game, although the developer is hoping to strike a partnership with Electroneum, which would then allow them to payout ETN. I'm gonna be asking the creator a few follow up questions in the next day or two, so if you have anything you'd like me to ask, feel free to leave a comment!
Thanks for visiting bud!
