Microsoft to BUY EA & Valve? | BEST HDD for 2018

in gaming •  7 years ago  (edited)

People often ask what is the best mechanical hard drive for my gaming PC or NAS system. Thanks to Backblaze we have the results from 2017 to answer that question for you as well as analyzing the year over year statistics for 2015 and 2016.
For Gaming News today we look at a rumor regarding Microsoft and whether or not they will actually buy out Valve and EA which would give them some huge game franchises that very well could become exclusive games on the Xbox if the rumors are true.
Thankfully PC Gaming Glorious God, Gabe Newell, has responded to squash those rumors, but whether or not EA will be bought out is still up for discussion. How would you feel if Microsoft bought EA?

Would Microsoft use the Steam and/or Origin platforms to improve it abysmal Microsoft Store or would they just ruin Steam/Origin? Probably the latter. I am sure they would love to control almost all of the PC digital distribution and tie everything to Windows and Xbox. EA seems to scared to take any risks and is just sticking to its few formulaic IPs they just keep making which they make exclusive on PC to their Origin platform which i assume is still nowhere near Steam in the digital distribution market share. This kind of consolidation is terrible for consumers since it limits choice. Exclusives are why i don't like consoles as well as there limited functionality and power. They try to force people into buying there hardware just for a handful of games.

I'm glad Microsoft doesn't buy Valve..

Great video Joker finally had account activated looking forward to new platform.

My WD black 5tb is pretty loud, I wish I would have known about those NAS drives when I bought it because that sounds amazing.

Great vid! Glad to see u here!

Great Video.

Can a good and fast HDD improve the performance affect some programs? I'm learning programming in C++ and for that I am required to use Visual Studio, however, some times it lags a lot. Like I click on something and that round blue loading thing appears and I have to wait for a while. And I suspect this problem to be my HDD's fault since my laptop has a 5400 rpm HDD (its weak af). So can getting a faster HDD or an SSD improve this kind of thing? Or am is something else the bottleneck?
