It Was Like That Sometimes

I dont stop to reflect on MGI (Ministry of Gamer Intelligence) as much as i ought to, good guys and girls, looking back, i learnt a lot from this game, and that Outfit i lead, it was an amazing game of teamwork.

Those of us who played it (like this guy in the clip) we played it, i mean really played it, there was the NC high command, we all had our corps but communicated amidst leaders, we would set in for the weekend, and it was like ... non-stop, until Sunday.

I ran MGI for about 8 months before i dissolved it, it was only ever supposed to compliment, started out as a joke actually, i used to smoke (The stuff) back in those days, and the early days of the game had proximity chat, i used to run around with war of the worlds, the original broadcast, blazing out from my aircraft... then one day just started randomly recruiting people.

Before i knew it we had at least 80 - 90 people, and we just hit where they were not, the tile system, used to be more fluid, they changed it and, in most players opinions ruined it with the new hex system.

Used to be very fluid, then it became trench warfare, which is when most of us left.

But me and my comrades would just hit and run bases, helping the other Outfits, you learn a lot about teamwork and strategy from games like this, though at the time, it was just a lot of fun.

While others at that age were out at clubs on a Saturday night, i was in a digital foxhole getting my ass bombarded by tanks, trying to stealth my way into enemy lines ... of which, i wouldn't change it for the world.
